Dan Cosby, a Certified Addiction Professional entered the field of addiction studies after a 20 year career as a corporate executive. The ravages of substance abuse and addiction in his family and his own “workaholic” behavior led to his career decision.
Dan’s personal experience with addicted family members, training as an addiction professional and his own 12-step recovery from “workaholism” make him uniquely qualified to assist families and individuals on their path of recovery.
Although raised in a traditional protestant setting Dan found a fresh perspective on spirituality in contemporary monasticism. Ordained as a protestant minister, Dan was also confirmed as an oblate in the ancient “Order of St. Benedict” after training with the monks of St. Leo Abbey.
